The War Of The Worlds

After observing a weird explosion on Mars, an unnamed man gets caught up in a devastating and brutal martian assault. In order to survive the first wave of martians, he decides to flee his home city, along with his wife, to go stay with some family members. However, in a stroke of brilliance the man decides to return the horse and cart to the original owner, who is right in the middle of the fray between the deadly martians and the hopeless British Military. After barely escaping the martian heat ray (a second time!) the man is now forced to live on the run, right under the nose of the martians. In doing so, he sees first hand what the martians look like, how the martians feed, and how humanity suffers under the cruel reign of the martians
